Dr. Yusheng Bian is dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies interfacing photonics, electromagnetics, nanotechologies and acoustofluidics, with applications in data centers, optical communications, ultra-sensitive bio-sensing, cell and particle manipulations and point-of-care diagnostics.
Dr. Bian is currently a Senior Research Scientist at Globalfoundries, working on new product/PDK development for GF monolithically integrated silicon photonics platform. Dr. Bian’s research interests include Si Photonics, Plasmonics, Metamaterials and Acoustofluidics. He has authored and co-authored one book chapter and over 100 journal papers and conference presentations, including those in Laser & Photonics Reviews, Nanoscale, Small, Photonics Research, Scientific Reports, Nanotechnology, Applied Physics Letters, Optics Express, Optics Letters, IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Journal of Optics, IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, Microfluidics and nanofluidics, Optics Communications, Photonics and Nanostructures - Fundamentals and Applications, Physica Status Solidi A and Micro & Nano Letters. His publications have been cited over 1300 times. Dr. Bian is inventor on more than 50 granted patents and over 80 US patent applications.
